I have no intention of paying full price, especially the later audio books, so when I saw this on sale from a third party, I snagged it. I love the story line and Jim Dale is the BEST. [2] Rating: 5 Date: 2010-01-06 Summary: Read it so often that my hardcover is in four pieces ... Everyone (children and adults) loves a great "good vs. evil" story. I often think that something that everyone raves about just can't be as good as the say, but Harry Potter exceeds the reviews. If you thought that the first three or all four were too much of children's books, give Phoenix a try. This book is darker that the others. The incredibly rich detail in all the Harry Potter novels is really the best aspect of the story. JKR creates a whole world that readers can't forget about. There many subplots, but JKR ...more

While I had recently bought the trio plus Sirius action figures and sent them back due to poor quality, Hagrid is excellent! He is a ton of fun and the extra's (lantern, Fang, Norbert, pink umbrella, etc.) are great! His hands do rotate so they can hold things better and Norbert will rest on his arm. The detail is amazing and of course, HE TALKS! The talking is a little muffled or maybe its the accent. While I would have rather paid a little less ...more

Unlike the smaller figures, he doesn't come with a base but because of his size, he pretty stable without it. He comes with several accessories (as listed in the description) and has a button in the back that activates several sounds all or most of it are from the first movie (Sorcerer's Stone).
